Product Description: A tall erect green bamboo with spines. F lower: In compound panicles. Fruit: Grain oblong or linear oblong, furrowed on one side. Culms thick and erect, culm sheath triangular with spiny hairs. Leaf sheath, glabrous, ligule short. Used for construction and basket making. The sheaths around the stems have salt like deposits at the base Miscellaneous: Flowers only one in its lifetime (approx. 60 years).
