| Product Description: | A short palm like tree. Flowers are male and female found in separate plants in the form of cones. Male cones consist of numerous compactly arranged fleshy leaves like structures called microsporophylls' which produce thousands of powdery male spores. Fruit's 'Megasphorophtlls' are leaf like structures bearing the seeds which are 24 in each megasporophyll, egg shaped, hard, hairless, smooth brownish yellow. Bark brown with prominent diamond shaped scars of fallen leaves. Leaflets 15-30cms long, opposite, rachis, upto 40-60cms short spines. |
