| Product Description: | A large tree reaching a diameter of 80-150 centimeters. The younger parts and inflorescences are hairy. The leaves have long petioles. The blades are 10-20cm long and either entire or lobed. The fruit is ovoid, and 5-6cm long. It contains hard shell. The seed is about 3cm long and 2.5cm broad. It has very hard, rough, ridged shells which are difficult to crack; and, remover, it is difficult to separate the kernel from the shell. In Hawaii the oil is called kukui or candle-nut oil |
