Product Description: Habit: clustering rattan; climbing; up to 22m long. Leaf sheath: 0.7-2cm diameter; green with grayish white or sometimes brown cuticle when young; wearing off when older. Sheath spines: moderately dense to sparse spines; to 4; rarely to 7cm long; base crescent; green; spine flat from base upward; upper part yellow-green to brown; tip dark brown or black. Knee: conspicuous; knot-shaped; dark green; indumentum absent. Ocrea: 0.7-1.4cm long; soon rotten and tall off; resulted in short ocrea; dark grey; indumentum absent. Climbing organ: flagella 100-175cm long. Leaf: 70-95cm long; petiole 9-17cm long; rachis 71-79cm long; petiole with sparse long spines; apex divided at base of leaflet. Leaflets regular or interrupted pinnate, 35-45 on each side; 12-17 x 1-1.7cm; linear surface above dark green with bristles; base cuneate; margin sparsely bristly; apex narrowly acuminate to apiculate ; mid vein prominent; bristles on both surface. Cane: 0.5-1.3cm diameter; internodes 12-25cm long; durable; not flexible. Inflorescence: 150-300 cm plus flagellate extension; (1)3-5 partial inflorescences; primary bracts tubular; clasping rachis. Female inflorescence 2-branched; secondary branches 8-30cm long; zigzag ; secondary bract sparsely armed. Male rachillae 3-branched; third branches1cm long; crowded with flowers. Fruit: 0.7-0.9 x 0.8-10cm; sub-globose; calyx connate at base scales whitish; parianth 6; slightly connate at base; beak short. Seed not ruminat

However, this species is not commonly used in the country because its cane is lower quality than C. viminalis and C. palustris, which are similar in size
