Management Practices: | Tree coppices well and is lopped for firewood and is known to reproduce from root suckers. Elephants peel off the bark and eat it. Birds, especially barbets (kutreku) feed on the fruit. Being a good fodder species, goats and deer eat the leaves. Bees foraging on flowers are high, mainly for pollen. |
